Morning Walk / Fiona Shrek

The sun was missing in action yet again this morning.
But someone very special was out to cheer me up.

My ONE and ONLY
BABY STEP
for this week:

FOOTPRINT to update WordPress

Do not worry if you have built your castles
in the air. They are where they should be.
Now put the foundations under them.

Baby Step: LAUNCH THE ROAD TRIP SHOW

Didn’t happen.

I’m having too many problems/challenges with WordPress — must wait for my friend Kcrystina to help me install the latest version.

Because there’s no way I’m going to set up PodPress — a podcasting plug-in — when I’m already having plug-in problems.

So for the time being — not knowing when I’ll be getting together with my tech friend — I can’t even launch a launch date!

LESSONS LEARNED: Patience. Patience. Patience. Letting go. Concentrating/working on other projects while waiting to update WordPress (drawing, writing my memoirs, administrative work for my housing co-op, etc.). Most important of all: Not beating myself up for not reaching — yet again! — this important weekly goal.

Baby Step: 1-HOUR MORNING WALK EACH DAY
No more than 1 hour — from 8 to 9.

I tried walking for only 1 hour, but realized my body needs more. I’ve been having mostly 2-hour walks each morning, though on one occasion, a 90-minute walk at a faster pace seemed to do the trick. Maybe that’s the answer: to speed it up a bit.

I missed 2 days for personal family reasons. In the future, if I can’t walk in the morning, I’ll walk later on in the day instead of not walking at all. Lesson learned!

Baby Step: MEDITATE

My mind is a never-ending highway where fast and frantic traffic never stops. Meditation is quite a challenge!

But I want to get better at it. I know how important it is. I will become good at it… one second at a time. I noticed that music helps me calm the traffic in my head; I’ll check out my library for meditation CDs.

CONCLUSION

With all the delays in reaching my
most important goal this month…

I hope I won’t turn into

Walk. Run. Climb. Dance. FLY!

“He who would learn to fly one day
must first learn to stand and walk
and run and climb and dance;
one cannot fly into flying.”

Thus Spoke Zarathustra
Friedrich W. Nietzsche

I’m thinking the Universe wants me to learn to fly.

Because no matter how strong my intentions are,  I can’t get myself to walk for ONLY one hour. My body won’t stop till it gets at least two hours’ worth of walking.

And this morning, I discovered there’s a HUGE dog out there who’s also learning to fly.

Watch out for droppings!

for this week…

Short & Sweet!

LAUNCH THE ROAD TRIP SHOW
If not as scheduled on Wednesday… it has
to be online before the end of the week.
Period.

1-HOUR MORNING WALK EACH DAY
No more than 1 hour — from 8 to 9.
They say it takes 21 days to create a habit.
Keep at it!

MEDITATE
I’m an all-or-nothing person…
I need to schedule regular
*balance breaks*.

Prioritize
Aim

And don’t forget to PLAY!
