Quiet Days In Verdun

Ain’t nothin’ like a walk by the river
on a lazy afternoon.

DUCKS BY THE ST. LAWRENCE RIVER

I sat there for I don’t know how long…
watching the ducks sail on by.

Four ducks sailing on the St. Lawrence river

Happiness is…
it just is.

Nothing like Benny Goodman’s clarinet and piano to make a body want to “strut” along! My river walk is no where near as lush and green as yours… but I love it just the same.

    Hi Marilyn!

Ya like Benny, eh? I remember listening to his music when I was 3 years old and being taught to dance by my dad.

As for rivers, they all have their particular charm and energy and *magic*. I can’t wait to see more photos of your walk…

Bonjour, dear *Nothing profound* friend :-)

Thanks for dropping by and sharing your own corner of nature with us. You are so very right about the aura of serenity — I will remember to carry that thought in my mind as well.

    Have a Happy Day!

I live by a lake teeming with geese and duck. My greatest pleasure is sit and watch them gliding by on the water. Their serenity and effortless in being is my constant inspiration. I try to carry that picture wherever I go.

Thanks for the photos and sharing.

I am going to do the same; go out and look for the simplicity in nature.
